Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy

Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy undertook her law degree and business administration degree from Ho Chi Minh City University of Law in Vietnam from 2015 to 2020. During law school, she had devoted a lot of time to scientific research and won two valuable scientific research awards in the field of international law.

Before joining Phuoc & Partners, Thuy had over six-month intern experience working at ATIM Law Firm where she supported partners and senior associates in diverse areas such as corporate and investment, international trade, labour and employment and dispute resolution. She trained in commercial law before discovering her passion for labour law.

Thuy joined Phuoc & Partners law firm in September 2020 as a Paralegal and was promoted to Associate role from the end of 2021. She concentrates her practice on labour and employment and commercial law. She advised domestic and international companies on a wide spectrum of labour relations matters, including labour law compliance, labour contract, salary and benefits, labour discipline and workplace safety. Her background in this capacity has given her a concrete foundation for counselling clients of various sizes with legal and practical advice. She brings a flexible problem-solving approach to every matter she handles.

Thuy’s particular focus is also negotiation and litigation in relation to labour and employment, commercial contracts, divorce involving foreign elements, trademarks and other intellectual property rights. Thuy always serves her clients by providing an early assessment of the possibility of the case so that clients can steer the case to their advantage. She tenaciously defends the clients on behalf of her clients in connection with their most challenging disputes. Meanwhile, Thuy is also known for her ability to reach an amicable solution to the client’s dispute by negotiation, mediation and conflict resolution strategies.

Thuy was awarded “Staff of The Year Award” of Phuoc & Partners in recognition of her outstanding performance in 2021. She was praised by clients and colleagues as a “dedicated staff with detailed-oriented and hard-working”. Her high compassion and empathy with clients somehow trigger the accomplishment of her assignments. She is proud of her English proficiency, time management, problem-solving and negotiation skills.
